Just wondering if you will ever do an insight into Hershal Silverman who was part of the beat generation with Burroughs in Paris and who sometimes read with Ginsberg
I met Hershal Silverman thru Dave Christ who published many beat writers in his publication Alpha Beat Soup which featured many beat writers along with Bukowski and others. He was the opening reader with Corso, and many other beat writers and Alan Ginsberg. He talked about Burroughs and Paris after a reading at the No-Bar cafe in New York City. I got the impression that he traded the beat lifestyle for a 9-5 job and he spoke of Paris wistfully. I guess he's just a forgotten beat but I'm betting there are more of them than you might think
I’m a huge admirer of Dennis McNally and have fond memories of him and his association with The Dead in days of yore. I occasionally had the privilege to share a few emails with Dennis. Altho I lost the contact when my Yahooaccount crash. He was very kind- read my Brautigan tribute Winter Roses which I believe you published and Dennis praised it and told me to continue writing. Your interview with GB was incisive and revealing as were his accounts of the history of his photography and the artists he’s got on film - he indeed captures a generation’ideals Frisco Tony

Not impossible, William, I have to say that Hershal Silverman is a new name to me. How did you come across him?

I found a signed copy of one of his books for 29 $ his collected works sells for 795$ on amazon and e-bay
I found several other items on abebooks
He passed away in 2015 but there is a lot of info on hm at wikepedia or thru a goggle search
